1. Acceptance

By creating an account on or using coolockvillage.ie, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. About This Service

Coolock Village is a volunteer-run civic coordination platform for Coolock Village, Dublin 5, Ireland. It enables residents to report local issues, submit ideas, volunteer, and stay informed about community projects.

This is not an official Dublin City Council service. Reports submitted here may be forwarded to the Council but response times depend on their processes.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or spam reports
  • Use abusive, threatening, or discriminatory language
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Interfere with the operation of the platform
  • Use bots or automated tools without permission

We reserve the right to moderate, hide, or remove content that violates these terms, and to suspend accounts that repeatedly breach them.

4. User-Generated Content

When you submit a report, comment, idea, or photo you retain ownership of your content. By submitting it, you grant Coolock Village a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, forward (e.g. to Dublin City Council), and archive the content for civic purposes.

You are responsible for ensuring your submissions do not infringe on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

5. Accounts & Security

Accounts are created using passwordless authentication (magic links or passkeys). You are responsible for keeping your email account secure, as it is the primary authentication method.

You may delete your account at any time from your My Account settings. This permanently removes all your personal data.

6. Limitation of Liability

Coolock Village is provided "as is" by a voluntary community group. We make no warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform.

We do not guarantee that reported issues will be resolved by Dublin City Council or any other body.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the website. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and the European Union. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
